Linux 64 bit, Java 8 NullPointerException in CoreModManager

Issue Details:
I tried Crackpack and FTB Lite 3 but I get same error: “java.lang.NullPointerException at cpw.mods.fml.relauncher.CoreModManager”. I am running Java 8 64 bits as it should work with the forge version. Also I am running Linux Debian if that can explain something. It also failed some downloads but it seems I still got everything downloaded?! I am visiting China now so it might be something that is blocked.
