Issue:
Every time I open my inventory, a chest or another inventory that also opens the NEI interface the game freezes for a moment. It starts of as a few miliseconds, but as I play longer it quickly progresses to 5-10 seconds to open an inventory. When I disable the NEI through the in-game menu the game runs smoothly and there is no lag when opening inventories.
Pressing ‘o’ to temporarily disable the NEI does not really solve the problem. only when the game is completely shut down does this ‘lag’ reset. Since the NEI is pretty much required for playing ftb I have to shut down and restart every 15-30 minutes.
I looked this problem up and several people have reported it and it being caused by NEI. However no sollutions have worked this far.
I wonder if this is caused by a specific part or bug in NEI. When I started my world I did not have this problem so I’d like to think there’s a sollution. I’d be very thankful for any advice you can give me.
After changing the memory settings to 4069 mb it improved somewhat. However repeatedly opening inventory with NEI on still causes an increasing prohibitive slowdown.
