So story time.
My friend launched a FTB Continuum server not long ago, despite being a one gig server, it played fine, lag spike here and there, and I lagged out every few hours, but nothing major. After a few days we realized the pack wasn’t for us and switched to FTB Revelation, and the issues I on Continuum became magnified to an unplayable degree.
The server is super laggy to start, and I always get a “An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host” the first time, but I manage to log in the second time, I can play with some serious lag every time I open Journey Map or search for something in JEI it lags heavily, but allows me to play, the only other lag are brief lag spurts that decay over time, until an hour in on average my game totally freezes, the last two times it lagged so badly my PC froze and I was forced to power down my PC and restart the hard way.
I’ve never had such issues with a pack before. I have 8 gigs of ram on my PC, 5888 kbs of which I have reserved for Minecraft via the Twitch Launcher, the max for the recommended part of the bar for memory allocation, though when Minecraft is launching it says it only has a max of 5342 for some reason.
I have only one crash log, and I’m not 100% sure it’s related, it happened once when I joined the server on the first try, and the only time I’ve gotten a proper log, I’ll add the other one, but I don’t know if it has any helpful information. I noticed though a lot people have this issue, but with no real answer for what is going on, which is frustrating, and reports of this have gone back quite a while.

The server is hosted in the UK, all my friends are over there, while I’m on the East Coast of the US. None of them have any issues playing this pack on a 1 gig server, nor do they have any crashes, in this pack or in the one before. At most we’ve had 5 people on, with an average of 2-3 most times, if any of this info is important.
Any help would be appreciated, as this is confusing and frustrated.
