Good evening y’all,
I’m posting here in search of help with clearing up an issue regarding the launching of the Direwolf 1.12 pack. It seems that regardless of what Forge version I use in the setting I continue to get crashes. Below is the crash report given to me

Java HotSpot™ 64-Bit Server VM warning: Ignoring option PermSize; support was removed in 8.0
Exception in thread “main” java.lang.ClassCastException: java.base/jdk.internal.loader.ClassLoaders$AppClassLoader cannot be cast to java.base/java.net.URLClassLoader
at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.(Launch.java:34)
at net.minecraft.launchwrapper.Launch.main(Launch.java:28)

Admittedly I am on a Mac which could be the source of the problem (I have no idea what any of the logs mean hence why I’m here). I’m currently running the most up to date Java(10.0.1). I’ve tried everything to allocating more RAM, reinstalling the Twitch application, using MultiMC, using Forge in the Minecraft launcher, and anything else I can think of.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, as well as some professionalism regarding the whole being on a Mac issue. I’m still in the process of building a PC so cut me some slack lol
